Valentino’s autumn/winter 2019 show kicks off in Paris, with the theme of this season’s big show “VALENTINO ON LOVE”. On each seat is a collection of white poems by four contemporary poets, Greta Bellamacina, Mustafa The Poet, Yrsa Daley-Ward, and Robert Montgomery, each expressing a belief in love.
The walls are adorned with a striking verse:“The people you love become ghosts inside of you and like this you keep them alive.”
The models shuttled through the white environment, wearing all kinds of dresses, very eye-catching.
With 62 new looks released this season, Pierpaolo Piccioli, the brand’s creative director, combines prints and verses in a beautiful and elegant way.Almost every dress is printed with roses, hugging sculptures and love poems, including everyday cocktail dresses and evening dresses, and classic soft tulle dresses.
Jun Takahashi, creative director of the Cooperative brand, who was invited to collaborate, also interprets his view of love through collages and portrait scribbles, like poetry, with a distinctive print of “Love Rose” and “Kiss Sculpture” that is the most striking feature of the season, printed in dresses, knitwear, jumpsuits, and trousers. On a variety of items, such as a fisherman’s hat.
Valentino, which has always been “fairy-haired”, still has a new “fairy dress” this season, with a variety of romantic tulle materials made and floor-length skirts, with simple make-up, and you can already boldly predict the future of the red carpet.
